This mixed-use housing proposal examines past and present colonization of Hawaii and privileges Native Hawaiian intelligence. Through semi-public courtyards, flexible unit modules, and shared patterns of living, this project treats all spaces as a pool of common resources. Subverting the given brief into affordable housing plus a center for living and healing arts, the project stands as a small but important step towards a material recovery of Hawaiian sovereignty.
