Devin Jernigan

Devin Jernigan is a doctoral student at Yale University in the History and Theory track. His research focuses on the architecture of the American traveling circus during its golden age, which is roughly from the Civil War to World War I. This research includes subjects concerning early American popular culture, nomadic performance groups, festive monuments, crafting techniques, and portable, lightweight structures. Before joining Yale, Devin worked in the US, Europe, and Asia architecture and landscape architecture fields since 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with honors from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University. He is an Architecture Fellow of Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany, and an academic fellow while he studied at Princeton University.
