David Kohn (born Cape Town, 1972) is a London-based architect, educator and director of David Kohn Architects.

David studied architecture at the University of Cambridge and at Columbia University GSAPP as a Fulbright Scholar. David previously taught architecture at the AA, London Metropolitan University and the University of Cambridge, and was a Visiting Professor at KU Leuven, Belgium.

David founded his practice in 2007, which was awarded the 2009 Building Design Young Architect of the Year Award. The practice was nominated for the Iakov Chernikov Prize 2014 and included in the Architectural Record Design Vanguard 2017. Recent house projects have won RIBA House of the Year 2022, the Manser Medal for Architects’ Journal House of the Year in 2023, and an RIBA National Award in 2026. The practice’s campus for New College, Oxford University won a 2025 Prix Versailles.

David’s drawings have been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Royal Academy of Arts, the Soane Museum, and the Design Museum. The work of the practice is in the permanent collection of the Architekturzentrum Wien.

The work of the practice has been widely published internationally and a monograph, ‘Stages,’ edited by Moritz Küng, was published by König Books in 2025.
