Kristin Hawkins
Kristin Hawkins is an Associate Principal at Pickard Chilton. She has over four decades of experience designing an extensive portfolio of projects globally, including cultural arts, academic, corporate and master planning work. Her projects, earning over 25 national and international awards, include the 2023 CT AIA Project of the Year and share a consistent thread of unique design solutions through form, spatial character and material, elevating the places they inhabit and creating memorable spaces. She believes that a plurality of perspectives informs the best design, which impacts her work both in the office and at the school.
Current work includes a confidential museum project in Charlotte, NC and a transportation component of the modernization of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Prior to joining Pickard Chilton, Kristin was a Partner at Pelli Clarke & Partners. Her work there included leading the design for the multi-award-winning Chengdu Museum of Natural History in Chengdu, China, West Palm Point, an office tower in West Palm Beach, Florida, a next generation condominium tower in New York City, the Red Building at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, the CIMP building at Cleveland State University, and the master plan for Vanderbilt University. She has been a guest critic at the Rhode Island School of Design and the GSD at Harvard.
