Martin Cox
Martin Cox is a founding principal of Bade Stageberg Cox Architecture (BSC), a New York City based practice. The firm’s portfolio spans a wide variety of types and scales, from public and institutional projects to the design of residences, interiors, and temporary installations. The practice has been recognized with numerous awards for its work including a 2020 Architecture Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters; an American Architecture Award and an International Architecture Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design; and five design awards from the American Institute of Architects. In 2009 BSC was a finalist in the Museum of Modern Art’s Young Architects Program. Publications featuring the work of the practice include international journals Domus, GA Houses, and Mark, and outlets including the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Dwell, and Architectural Digest.
Cox has previously held teaching appointments in the graduate architecture programs at Cornell University School of Art Architecture and Planning, and Parsons School of Design. Prior to co-founding BSC he was a Senior Associate in the office of Steven Holl Architects for over ten years. He is a registered architect in the State of New York.
