Drawing the Source
Architecture begins long before construction. Every line an architect draws impacts how materials are sourced, processed, transported, assembled, and discarded. Yet these consequences have largely disappeared from architectural practice, leaving construction details detached from their material origins. Drawing the Source invites architects to reclaim the source as a site of inquiry. Tracing Jordanian limestone from geological formation to construction detail, the exhibition reveals how design shapes landscapes, and asks what architecture might become if every line were drawn with the quarry in mind.
