This fall, the M.E.D. Working Group for Anti-Racism is organizing a series of roundtable conversations with spatial practitioners, activists, and scholars whose work contends with the complex relationship between race, space, and social justice.
This Zoom event is for the first roundtable of this series—POLICING, which will bring together Jaime Amparo Alves, Arissa Hall, Philip V. McHarris, and the Black Students for Disarmament at Yale. We are excited to host this transnational conversation on the racial violence of law enforcement and the organization of grassroots efforts to defund and abolish the police.
This event will be open to the public, and registration is required. Sessions will be recorded and made available on our webpage: https://www.architecture.yale.edu/academics/programs/3-m-e-d/working-group-for-anti-racism
