Please join us on Wednesday, April 24th, for an exciting opportunity to learn from and collaborate with leading professionals in community engagement, the arts, human rights law, and architecture, as we interrogate how to center communities in design processes. The event will consist of an interdisciplinary panel and design charette, and will be held from 1-5pm in Room 322 in Rudolph Hall, 180 York Street.
Maria Adebowale-Schawarte, Executive Director for the Foundation for Future London and Founding Director of the Living Space Project, will facilitate a panel from 1-2pm, with guests Baljeet Sandu, Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi, and Mohamad Hafez. After the panel—from 2-5pm—there will be a structured, interdisciplinary design charette, where we learn some of the tools for inclusive place-making and valuing lived-experience in design initiatives.
